Mark’s Daily Thought – Ideas from Mark Fritz to help you Get Ahead, Stay Ahead and Be Successful
Pressure has such a negative connotation these days, but good pressure can drive us to achieve great things and use our potential. Good pressure is what drives us to use our unique talents in ways that others can’t, and enables us to create a "diamond" life. Don’t avoid the pressure, but align it with your strengths and your passion to create your diamond.

The Obvious?
I will act now. I will act now. I will act now. Henceforth, I will repeat these words each hour, each day, everyday, until the words become as much a habit as my breathing, and the action which follows becomes as instinctive as the blinking of my eyelids. With these words I can condition my mind to perform every action necessary for my success. I will act now. I will repeat these words again and again and again. I will walk where failures fear to walk. I will work when failures seek rest. I will act now for now is all I have. Tomorrow is the day reserved for the labor of the lazy. I am not lazy. Tomorrow is the day when the failure will succeed. I am not a failure. I will act now. Success will not wait. If I delay, success will become wed to another and lost to me forever. This is the time. This is the place. I am the person. – Og Mandino – HT Steve Chandler

The Obvious?
This was the title, unwittingly borrowed from a BBC Radio 4 programme, that I used for my keynote at KM World in Washington recently. My talk was about how difficult it is to say what you really think in many corporate environments. Watch this video and consider how similar the reactions might be to the atmosphere inside an organisation near you.

Some people are always looking for the people around them to change, and often say: "If only they would change, I would be happy". Now, these are people who don’t take personal responsibility for their lives. Our success & happiness is not driven by what change happens in others, but by what change happens in us.

Take a look at autobiographies of successful people, and you will see that they all had a setback, and some even multiple setbacks. A successful life is never a consistent climb, and how these successful people dealt with their setbacks have given them the internal power to climb even higher in their lives.

Mark’s Daily Thought – Ideas from Mark Fritz to help you Get Ahead, Stay Ahead and Be Successful
As a leader, your actions always speak louder than your words, and your people never believe in your commitment by what you say, but by what you do. When you focus on giving your 100% commitment, you will always motivate others around you to do the same. Give your all to get their all.

The performance in any organisation is really a reflection of the leadership. Successful leaders always find a way to deliver the expected performance. They either trigger a change in the people or change the people, and then create an environment focused on teamwork and execution.

Mark’s Daily Thought – Ideas from Mark Fritz to help you Get Ahead, Stay Ahead and Be Successful
Many people go through life thinking "I’ll try" when starting any new initiative or change in their lives. With this approach, there’s no strong commitment, and often there are other circumstances that provide an excuse as to why they did not achieve it. Success in everything comes when we commit before we start.
